Notch lapels are the most popular lapel styles; they have become the industry standard in today's formal market.  Whether you are visiting a local formal wear store or online formal wear store, you will notice many more notch lapel styles compared to peak or shawl lapel styles.  When designers and manufacturers create new styles each year, most of their emphasis on their product lines still goes to the notch lapel styling.
