My invitation says Black Tie, what does that mean?

Black Tie events require a tuxedo to be worn when attending. The most common tuxedos worn are 1 or 2 button notch tuxedo jackets but you can wear almost any black tuxedo to this event. The classic look would include a pleated wingtip or lay down shirt worn with a bowtie and cummerbund. If the event is a bit more casual a vest and tie can substituted in place of the cummerbund. Finishing touches include a nice set of stud and cufflinks with a white pocket square.
