3 Tips for Your First Time Wearing a Tuxedo

Wearing a tuxedo usually calls for a celebratory event. Whether it be a wedding, prom, gala, performance or a special event, getting all dressed up in a tux is usually followed by a good time.

However, if it is your first time wearing a tuxedo, we understand that you could be a little nervous. No need to panic. In this blog, we’re going to give you three simple tips that will help put your nerves to rest the day of your big event.

1. Break in Your Shoes
Breaking in your shoes is crucial! Like many other kinds of shoes, dress shoes can be extremely uncomfortable the first time you wear them. Breaking your dress shoes in before the big event can make a huge difference. Now, we aren't saying you have to wear them to a pickup game of soccer, but wearing your shoes around the house for a day or two in advanced can help break the mind drastically.

Remember, you're most likely going to be on your feet most of the night, so  it's smart to be prepared.

2. Tie Your Own Tie
We understand tying your tie can seem near impossible without proper instruction or demonstration, but tying your own tie is important. pre-tied tie or one that was tied by your father or older brother from the opposite direction is pretty easy to spot. A tuxedo is more times than not accompanied by a bow tie, although sometimes a long time may be substituted in place of a bow tie.

ProTip:If you're wearing bow tie, we suggest leaving your bow ties lightly tilted or askew to one side. It is considered to be fashionable by many.

3. Try It On Early
This should be a no-brainer; but it is very important to try on your tux a few days early. Trying on your tuxedo days in advanced will give you time to make any adjustments, as well as give you time to purchase anything that may not be included with your tuxedo.
